In fact, one of the most commonly asked questions we receive is regarding insurance coverage. For that reason, we want to make sure you are informed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are a number of factors that determine whether insurance will cover hearing aids and, like other medical claims, it\u2019s entirely dependent on the insurance company and plan you have. Coverage can vary from state-to-state, so you may want to look at your medical insurance plan and see what it says about hearing testing or hearing device coverage. Some private insurance companies will cover a portion of the hearing device cost while others will cover the testing services but not the devices themselves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you have&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.medicare.gov\/coverage\/hearing-and-balance-exam-and-hearing-aids.html\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Medicare<\/a>, it should cover the hearing evaluation portion, but does not cover the devices. However some people are&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.consumermojo.com\/medicare-should-cover-hearing-aids\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">advocating<\/a>&nbsp;that Medicare should cover hearing devices. If you have&nbsp;<a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.asha.org\/public\/coverage\/Medicaid\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Medicaid<\/a>, you may get some or most of the testing and device cost covered, but that is dependent on the state you live in.
